Plans and pricing

Callify is billed through Shopify. There’s no separate invoice and no card to enter — the monthly charge and any usage on top appear on your normal Shopify bill.

You’ll find your plan in Settings → Plan and usage, and the full comparison under Change plan.

Overage per text $0.025 $0.020 $0.020
Default spending cap $40 $100 $250

All three plans include the same features. What changes is how much usage is included, what the excess costs, and how fast you get support.

Every plan gets:

  • A toll-free number for your store
  • Call forwarding, business-hours routing and holiday schedules
  • Call screening
  • Call recording with playback, and full transcription of every call
  • Voicemail with a custom greeting, and voicemail transcription
  • Two-way SMS threads
  • Shopify customer matching, with order count and lifetime spend
  • Full call history, an activity dashboard, and CSV export

Growth and Business buy a larger monthly allowance, a lower per-unit rate on anything beyond it, and a higher default spending cap.

Each plan comes with a monthly allowance of call minutes and text messages. Use less and you pay the plan price. Use more and the excess is overage, billed at your plan’s per-minute and per-message rate.

Overage isn’t a penalty and it doesn’t interrupt anything — your line keeps working exactly as before. It’s just usage beyond the allowance, priced per unit.

The details of what counts are in how usage is counted, and they matter more than you’d expect — every call rounds up to a whole minute, and texts count in segments, both sent and received.

Every plan has a spending cap: the most you can be billed in overage in one billing period, on top of your plan price.

It defaults to roughly twice your plan’s monthly price, and you can move it. Once your overage reaches the cap, you stop being billed for further usage — while your calls and texts carry on working normally.

Shopify bills apps every 30 days, not on calendar months. So your period might run the 14th to the 13th — not the 1st to the 31st.

Your allowances reset at the start of each period, and the reset date is shown in Settings → Plan and usage. Unused minutes and messages don’t roll over.

Settings → Plan and usage → Change plan, pick one, and approve the charge in Shopify.

Upgrading starts a new billing period immediately, with the new plan’s full allowance. Your old period is closed out and billed for whatever overage it had accrued.

Downgrading works the same way. Check your recent usage first — dropping to a plan whose allowance you routinely exceed can cost more in overage than the plan saves.

Two kinds of line:

  • A recurring charge — your plan price, every 30 days.
  • Usage charges — overage, added through the period as it accrues rather than in one lump at the end. Several small lines are normal and expected.

Everything is in USD.

Partner development stores can’t be charged by Shopify, and a phone number costs real money every month — so Callify won’t set one up on a development store. You’ll see “Not available on this store.” Install it on a store that can be billed.

Uninstall Callify from your Shopify admin. The subscription stops, your number stops taking calls and texts, and it’s released.

Any overage accrued before you uninstalled is still billed — it’s usage that already happened.

Your data is removed as part of uninstalling, so download anything you want to keep first.
